Terms & Conditions
Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co.
Last updated: April 2025

By booking with Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co., you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your booking form, as they form a binding contract.

Health & Safety
We maintain strict hygiene standards. All sponges, brushes, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised after every event. Only Brushed Beauties artists are permitted to handle the paints and tools to ensure safety and hygiene. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We do not paint children under 36 months of age, in line with product safety guidance. All products we use are professional-grade and comply with EU cosmetic regulations, though skin reactions are always a possibility. If there are any concerns, patch tests are available upon request. We will not paint individuals with contagious conditions, cold sores, broken or irritated skin, or anyone who is visibly unwell. Painting will not proceed if a child is unwilling, unable to sit still unaided, or behaves in a way that may pose a risk to themselves or others. Parental or guardian consent is required for all children being painted, and adult supervision is mandatory. Children must have clean, dry faces, and we cannot paint children with food, drink, or runny noses during the session. Adequate lighting, shelter for outdoor events, and a safe environment away from water-based activities or loud sound systems must be provided by the client. For longer outdoor bookings, we bring a sturdy branded gazebo, but it will not be erected in unsafe weather conditions. For health and safety reasons, we do not collaborate with face painters outside of Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co.

Decor Packages
To secure your decor package, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The venue must have adequate space to allow for the décor to be safely and effectively set up. We require at least 1.5 hours of access before the event starts to complete set-up and a minimum of 30 minutes afterward for takedown. All decorative items remain the property of Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co. unless otherwise stated. Clients are responsible for the care and supervision of décor items during the event. Any loss or damage may result in additional charges.

Location & Access
At the time of booking, a complete address including postcode must be provided. We advise using the What3Words app if the location is difficult to find. Our equipment is heavy and requires safe, close access to the venue for loading and unloading. If this is not possible, the event organiser must provide assistance. Incorrect or unclear directions that lead to delays will not be refunded. If we are unable to access the venue and cannot reach the organiser within 40 minutes of the scheduled time, the booking may be cancelled without refund.

Products & Materials
We use only high-quality, water-activated face paints from trusted professional suppliers. These paints are designed to be easily removed using soap and water. Baby wipes are not recommended for removal as they can cause skin irritation and leave staining. In rare cases where staining occurs, the marks can be treated with baby oil followed by soap and water. While staining is uncommon, we are not liable for any paint transfer to clothing or furniture.

Other Entertainment Activities
Please note that bouncy castles, soft play, or water-based activities may affect the quality and durability of face painting. Face paint can be transferred due to sweat, friction, or water exposure. We are not responsible for paint transferring onto entertainment equipment, including bouncy castles or soft play setups. We strongly recommend avoiding the use of white bouncy castles, soft play areas, and ball pits when face painting is involved. If you have hired such equipment, please consult with the provider in advance. If restrictions are placed on children with face paint, this is the responsibility of the organiser to resolve. We will proceed with face painting if requested, but cannot accept responsibility for any paint transfer. If a disco or loud music will be part of your event, please inform us in advance so we can plan an appropriate setup. Water-based activities must be kept at a safe distance from our painting area to prevent damage to our equipment.

Photography
Photographs may be taken during events for promotional purposes, but only with prior consent from the individuals involved. For more information, please review our Photo Imagery Policy.

General Terms
All our artists carry full Public Liability Insurance. In the case of illness, we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided. We require a smoke-free working environment in line with UK workplace laws. We do not paint designs that are offensive, obscene, or inappropriate. Each participant is entitled to one design, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon. For large events and corporate bookings, we may close the queue early to ensure all those already in line can be painted before the end of the session. We may also implement a numbering system to manage high demand efficiently.

Bookings & Payments
For birthday parties, a completed booking form and a 50% non-refundable deposit are required to confirm your date. This can be paid by BACS or card. The final balance is due 48 hours before the party. For weddings or large private events, a completed booking form and 50% deposit are also required. The final balance must be paid 7 days prior to the event. For corporate bookings, the completed booking form serves as a binding contract. A 50% deposit is required and the final balance must be paid 7 days before the event.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel or reduce your booking within 4 weeks of the event date, a 50% fee will apply. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will be charged the full amount. Requests to change the date or time of your booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. In force majeure situations such as extreme or unforeseeable events, we may offer a rescheduling option or a partial refund minus a £30 administrative fee.

Disclaimer – Information for Parents & Guardians
Children must have permission from a parent or guardian to be painted, and must be accompanied at all times. We do not paint children under the age of 3. We cannot paint individuals showing signs of illness or contagious conditions. Children must be clean and dry before face painting begins. If a child has allergies or sensitivities, we recommend a patch test or a small design on the hand. We will not paint designs that are racially, politically, or religiously offensive. If any clothing comes into contact with face paint, it should be soaked in cold water before washing to prevent staining.

Liability & Conduct
We are not responsible for allergic reactions or other issues caused by undisclosed skin conditions or sensitivities. Any form of verbal or physical abuse toward our staff will result in immediate termination of services. We reserve the right to decline service or cease working at any time if our staff feel unsafe, disrespected, or otherwise unable to continue.

Use of Personal Information
We collect personal information such as your name, contact details, and event information solely for the purpose of managing your booking and processing payment. Your information will never be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.

By booking with Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co., you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
