Behind the Brush: How Brushed Beauties Was Born

Hello and welcome to the very first post on the Brushed Beauties Face Paint blog!

I’m so excited to finally share my journey and the story behind Brushed Beauties with all of you. So grab a comfy seat, maybe a cup of tea, and let me take you on a little adventure back in time.

The Spark of an Idea

It all started with a love for creativity and a little bit of sparkle! Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been drawn to art. But, it wasn’t until much later in life that I realised how powerful face painting could be. It’s not just about creating pretty designs (though, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good unicorn or glittery tiger?) it’s about bringing joy, boosting confidence, and creating unforgettable moments.

From Hobby to Passion

The story of Brushed Beauties actually began with my husband’s band.

On weekends, he’d be off to cool events, festivals, and gigs, living his creative dream and connecting with people. I found myself feeling inspired but also a little envious of how he got to be part of the excitement. I wanted something that would fulfill my own creative soul and allow me to connect with others in the same way.

I always loved art and creativity, but face painting was something that hadn’t crossed my mind until then. As I thought more about it, I realised that face painting would be the perfect way to add my own creative spark to the world. It was vibrant, interactive, and brought people together in such a fun way. I wanted to be part of that experience just like my husband was and create magic for others.

He thought I was joking so thought it would be funny to buy me an england face painting kit from a local discount shop...little did he know that I would be painting for the Premier League 3 seasons on!

The Heart of Brushed Beauties

At Brushed Beauties, it’s not just about face painting it’s about creating an experience. It’s about offering that little extra touch to your special event, whether it’s a birthday party, a wedding, a festival, or even a corporate event. Each brushstroke tells a story, and each design is a way to make people feel good about themselves.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working alongside some amazing people and businesses over the years, and every event is a new chance to spread joy and creativity.
